Kingston’s newest sports and entertainment centre, The K-Rock Centre, is located at the corner of Ontario and Barrack streets (1 Barrack Street) in downtown Kingston.

Directions and Parking: Take exit #619 Montreal St and travel south until either Queen or Princess Streets and turn left. There are an approximate 2,500 parking spaces and 550 on-street parking spaces within a 10 minute walk of the K-Rock Centre.

Accessible parking spaces are available within a short distance from the K-Rock Centre. Designated spots are available on King St. between Barrack and Queen Streets, four on Barrack St. between King and Wellington Streets and five in the Drury lot (at King and Queen Streets for use by persons holding a valid disability permit (permit-holder must be present) during events.

Kingston Transit Discounted Fare: Kingston Transit offers extra service on its major routes (1, E2, E6, 18) after all Kingston Frontenacs home games. The buses will be located at the corner of Queen and King Streets. Fares are only $1.00 for all patrons showing a ticket stub from the game. About the Centre: The K-Rock Centre officially opened its doors on February 22, 2008 with the Frontenacs hosting the inaugural event against their arch rivals: The Belleville Bulls. The facility holds 5,300+ for hockey events including 430 club seats, 29 luxury suites (up to 10 people) and 4 party suites (up to 20 people).

Including the Kingston Frontenacs, the K-Rock Centre has hosted prestigious events and acts such as:

· Avril Lavigne

· Bob Dylan

· Neil Young

· Brooks and Dunn

· Kenny Rogers

· Sesame Street Live

· Stars on Ice

· Canada Dance Sport

The K-Rock Centre also hosted World Junior Exhibition games between the United States and Russia/Latvia in December 2008 and is a viable facility to host future World, NHL and OHL events such as the Canada/Russia Challenge, OHL All-Star game and the MasterCard Memorial Cup.

Major Venue of the Year Award: In March, 2009, the K-Rock Centre was awarded the Major Venue of the Year award at the Canadian Music and Broadcast Industry Awards for venues under the size of 8,000.

Merchandise: The K-Rock Centre is fully equipped with “Fronts Shop” (sec. 111), a souvenir store for various Kingston Frontenacs merchandise. The store has an outside entrance and is open to the public on non-game/event days.

Food Services: Numerous concession spots are located throughout the K-Rock Centre on levels 100 and 300. The suite level, 400, is equipped with full-service staffing and a beverage stand located behind the net. The K-Rock Centre is a fully licensed facility.

A full-service restaurant is located on level 300, behind sections 107 and 108 and is open (reservations) to patrons before all Frontenacs games.

Guest Services: The first aid room is located in the main concourse behind section 114 in case of an emergency.

Elevators: Elevators are located for all upper level seating at Gate 1, Gate 3 and Gate 5.
