COACHING STAFF

Larry Mavety – Head Coach & General Manager 

Larry Mavety sits third in the Ontario Hockey League in all-time coaching wins. Mavety started in the OHL with the Belleville Bulls in 1981-82, went to Kingston the first time in 1989-90, but was right back in Belleville the next season. He left the Bulls to rejoin the Frontenacs again in 1997-98.

Mavety had recorded 657 wins, 683 losses and 101 ties as of November 14, 2007 when the hockey club announced he will be the Head Coach for the balance of the 2007/08 Ontario Hockey League season.

Tony Cimellaro – Assistant Coach/Assistant General Manager 

Tony played 232 OHL games over four seasons before the Ottawa Senators welcomed him to their organization in 1992. Cimellaro returned to the Kingston organization for the 2003-04 season as an Assistant Coach. His contract expired following the 2005-06 playoffs but he was re-hired August 2006. During the 2007/08 season Tony added the responsibilities of Assistant General Manager to his resume.

Kory Cooper – Assistant Coach

Cooper had an extensive OHL playing career where he played the bulk of his career for the Belleville Bulls. During his final season in the league he was traded to the Sudbury Wolves where he continued his junior career. Kory’s successful junior days landed him a professional contract. He played 8 years professional including stops in the American Hockey League and East Coast Hockey League.

Craig Belfer – Head Trainer

Craig Belfer, Head Athletic Therapist and Trainer, brings a wealth of experience including four years of previous service in the Ontario Hockey League with the Mississauga IceDogs and Belleville Bulls.
Craig returned to the 2005/06 hockey scene after two years with a physiotherapy clinic in Toronto.
Craig is a graduate of Queen’s University and is certified with degrees in Athletic Therapy, Massage Therapy as well as a certified Strength and Conditioning coach.

Len Coyle – Assistant Trainer

Len Coyle is entering his 35th season as a member of the Kingston Frontenacs, Raiders, and Canadians training staff. A fixture with the franchise since its inception, he currently helps out on home game nights and is a true "Jack of all trades" in the dressing room. An electrician by trade, Len lives in Kingston with his wife Freda.

Jack Campbell – Equipment Manager

Jack Campbell is entering his 7th season as a member of the Frontenacs training staff. Prior to joining the Frontenacs, Jack spent nine seasons as the Head Trainer for the Kingston Voyageurs, and he holds certifications as a Level 3 Hockey Trainer, and as a Sports First Responder. When he's not fulfilling his position as the Frontenacs Equipment Manager, Jack works full-time for Alcan. A native of Sydenham, Ontario, Jack is married to wife Barb and has two daughters, Stacey and Jessica.
