Frontenacs To Honour Billet Families Prior to the Game
The Kingston Frontenacs four game winning streak came to a crashing halt, as the Kitchener Rangers beat the Fronts 8-1 Friday night at the K-Rock Centre. The Fronts started the game very strong, dominating the first period, outshooting the Rangers 23-11 but found themselves on the wrong side of a 2-0 score as former Fronts goaltender Mavric Parks was on fire in the games opening period.
The Rangers got a big night from Jeremy Akeson who scored three goals and added an assist. The newly acquired Matthew Tippoff, Jonathan Jasper, Ryan Murphy and Shane Prince Also scored for the Rangers. Michael Fine got the loan marker for the Fronts late in the second period.
The Fronts will take part in the Kingston Santa Claus Parade on Saturday before trying to get back in the win column on Sunday afternoon, when the plymouth Whalers come to town for a 2:30pm game.
