Doherty Suspended Five Games

Kingston Frontenacs defenceman Taylor Doherty has been suspended by the OHL for five games for his cross check on Ottawa defenceman Marc Zanetti this past Sunday afternoon.

The suspension will keep the big 6'8 defenceman out of the Frontenacs lineup for the final three regular season games, as well as the club's first two playoff games, beginning next Friday night at the K-Rock Centre.

The San Jose Sharks second round pick from this past summer's NHL Entry Draft, is enjoying a career year with 16 goals and 28 assists, good for fifth among Frontenacs scoring leaders and he sits 15th in league scoring among defenceman.
