The Kingston Frontenacs have traded Jacob Smith to the Soo Greyhounds for a pair of conditional draft picks
The Kingston Frontenacs announce today that they have moved second year forward Jacob Smith to the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds for a 14th Round Pick in 2013 and a Conditional 5th Round Pick in 2016.
Smith, Kingston's 7th round selection in the 2011 OHL Priority Selection appeared in 58 games last season scoring 1 goal and 7 points with 12 penalty minutes.
"We'd like to thank Jacob for all his efforts with the club and wish him all the best with his career in the OHL", said General Manager Doug Gilmour.
The Frontenacs open their exhibition season versus their archrival, the Belleville Bulls tonight at the K-Rock Centre.
Game time is a 7:00 p.m. the first game of the new start time from 7:30.
