Began his OHL career with the Windsor Spitfires, but was traded to the Plymouth Whalers in November 2007, then finishing the season as their back-up. By the time of the 2008-09 season, his numbers had improved a lot and he laid claim to their starting goalie position. By the end of the Whalers playoff run, he was named the team’s playoff MVP and has continued his great play into this season. He was drafted in the 3rd round of the 2009 NHL draft by the Minnesota Wild.

Before joining the Greyhounds, he played for Swedish Junior Elite team Frölunda posting some very impressive stats. This season he has played very consistently and has posted 3 shutouts. Lehner has a lot of size, but also is very agile in the way he plays. He has excellent mobility for a net-minder his size and has shown through his play growth that he has a lot of potential. In the 2009 NHL Entry Draft, he was selected in the 2nd round by the Ottawa Senators.

In his first two years in the Ontario Hockey League, he played a total of 84 games with the Windsor Spitfires tallying decent statistics. He was then traded to the Owen Sound Attack at the beginning of this season where he has used his size and speed effectively to be a solid D-Man and also put up a few points offensively. Blacker was drafted in the 2009 NHL Entry Draft, by the Toronto Maple Leafs, 58th overall.

Ryan Ellis is an exceptional two-way defenseman who plays very well defensively, but can also put up the points. He has played his whole OHL career with the Windsor Spitfires, and has been a very valuable player in many aspects of the game. Last year he finished with 89 points, which put him 7th in the league in scoring and the lead of all defensemen. He was also previously named to the 2008-09 All-Star Team. Ellis was drafted 11th overall by the Nashville Predators, in the 2009 NHL Entry Draft.

Cam Fowler is a defensive-minded defenseman who currently plays for the Windsor Spitfires. For still being a young age, he is a big kid, but also has the ability to skate and move the puck very effectively. He was just recently a main piece of the gold-medal winning United States team at the World Junior Hockey Championship. He will also be eligible for the 2010 NHL Entry Draft and is believed to be a potential top five pick.

John Moore, a big defensive power for the Kitchener Rangers, played the last two years with the Chicago Steel of the USHL, before joining the OHL squad this past off-season. He is very quick for a guy his size and is able to show off some offensive abilities when he needs to. He was eligible for the 2009 NHL Entry Draft, and was picked 21st overall by the Columbus Blue Jackets.

Jacob Muzzin is a powerful shutdown defenseman playing for the Sault St Marie Greyhounds. He is a very tough player who is bigger than most players and can play aggressive when needed. Muzzin was drafted in the fifth round, of the 2007 NHL Entry Draft by the Pittsburgh Penguins. He has also recently signed an entry-level contract as a free agent with the Los Angeles Kings.

Rogalski is a solid third year defenseman, with a good view of the ice, and can distribute the puck well. Since last year his play has improved a lot, and he has become a player that the Sarnia club can rely on, when in their own end. He has great size and has been starting to use it more effectively. Rogalski will be eligible for the draft this year, and is so far predicted to be a mid-range pick.

Beck is now in his third year with the Guelph Storm and has been a major contributor to the team’s offense. He has great speed and agility for a forward his size and is showing this season, that he has the potential to become a very promising power-forward type of player. Last year he took part in the 2009 Top Prospects Game where he scored a goal for his team. Taylor Beck was drafted last year by the Nashville Predators, in the third round of the NHL Draft.
Taylor Hall #4, Windsor Spitfires

Taylor Hall is a very gifted forward, with great skating ability and an excellent offensive skill-set. Last year in 20 playoff games, he scored 36 points on his way to leading the Spitfires to win the Memorial Cup. So far this season, he is tied with league leading 69 points in the first 40 games, with 29 of them being goals. Hall is eligible this year to enter the 2010 NHL Entry Draft, and is expected to be picked in the top three overall. Central Scouting ranked him number one.
Adam Henrique #14, Windsor Spitfires

Adam Henrique is now in his fourth year in the OHL, and has been a part of the Windsor organization for all of them. He is a skilled centre who is very fast and is skilled at both ends of the ice. He sets up plays nicely and sees the ice well. He is a smaller player but his quickness makes up for it. Henrique was picked by the New Jersey Devils, in the third round of the 2008 draft.

Jenks has become a big part of the Plymouth Whalers offensive side of play, becoming a good playmaker over the past couple of years. He has good size for a forward and uses it to play defensively when needed to as well. He was selected in the fourth round of the 2008 NHL Entry Draft, by the Florida Panthers.
Nazem Kadri #91, London Knights

Beginning his OHL career with the Kitchener Rangers but was traded to his hometown team the London Knights, in the 2008 off-season. He is a major part of the team’s offence, and has improved a lot over the past few years. He uses his great stick-skills and dangling abilities to get open, and then takes advantage of his excellent wrist shot. Kadri was selected seventh overall in the 2009 NHL Entry Draft, by the Toronto Maple Leafs.

McRae spent four years playing for the London Knights, before being traded recently to the Plymouth Whalers. He has proven himself to be a very skilled player, and he is also a big threat at his position because of his size. He has very good puck control and is hard to knock off the puck as well. The St. Louis Blues selected him in the second round of the 2008 NHL Draft.

Morin is playing in his first year in the OHL, after playing the three previous with the U.S. National U-18 team. He has very good skating skills, and he handles the puck well. His defensive skills were doubted for a while, but now have improved a fair bit and he is showing that he has a lot of potential. Morin was drafted in the second round of the NHL Draft last year, by the Atlanta Thrashers.

It is the fourth season playing for the Spitfires for Nemisz. He is a big player who can use his size, as well as use his soft hands to handle the puck. He is a very good player in front of the net and has been improving when it comes to his skating abilities. He proves to have the potential to be a very good power-forward, and has been honored by his team for his hard work and dedication. He took part in last year’s top prospects game, and was selected 25th overall by the Calgary Flames in 2008.

Seguin is now playing in his second season for the Whalers. He has really shown that he can become one of the elite players, using all of his excellent offensive skills. He is an all-around great player, who can score goals as well as set up plays. In his first 41 games this season, he had posted 68 points and has continued to improve. Seguin is considered by most, to be a top three pick along with Hall and Fowler in the upcoming 2010 NHL Draft.

Jeff Skinner is mid-way through his second season playing for the Kitchener Rangers, and is one of the top prospects for the upcoming NHL draft. He is a great two-way player, who can score as well as play it safe in the defensive zone. Skinner has also been showing a lot of improvement when it comes to his offensive skills. Recently Skinner also came in at number 15 on central scouting’s prospect list.

Jordan Skellett is now in his sixth season in the Ontario Hockey League. In the past, playing two years with Mississauga, two with Erie, and now in his second with the Saginaw Spirit. In the past, Skellett was regarded as being just an average forward, he has improved a lot, and now sits third in league scoring, on-pace to double his past season results. Now, Skellett has been given the ice-time he deserved, and is showing he can be a player that his team can rely on to make things happen.
Zack Torquato #22, Erie Otters

Torquato is now in his sixth OHL season, having played two years for Saginaw, and the last four with the Erie Otters. He is the captain of his Erie squad and has led them to play better, than in previous seasons. He has showed that he can be a solid all-around player, and has improved his offensive skills, scoring 60 points in his first 45 games this season. In 2007, the Detroit Red Wings drafted him in the sixth round, and he has played a few games with their AHL affiliate, Grand Rapids Griffins.
