On Sunday, December 9th from 1-2pm the Kingston Frontenacs partnered with the Cataraqui Optimist Club of Greater Kingston to host ‘Skate with the Frontenacs’. Approximately 150 people were in attendance for this event that allowed fans to skate and mingle with the players. There was no entry fee to this event. Fans were simply requested to bring a non-perishable food item to the skate. Prizes were distributed to the fans throughout the event which included tickets to games as well as a team signed hockey stick.
Captain Justin Wallingford commented on the skate by saying, “We have had a lot of injuries lately and it is great to see the fans come down and support an event like this. We had a lot of fun today and we always enjoy the time that we spend with our fans.”
This week the Frontenacs will be at the Blood Donor Clinic on Princess Street from 11:15am-12:00pm. On
Wednesday morning, Ben Shutron will be visiting St. Thomas More Catholic School to speak about character building.
