It didn't take Frontenacs players John Murray and Kyle Paige long to find professional teams after their season ended. Murray joined the Reading Royals of the ECHL while Paige is the newest member of the Utah Grizzlies.
Murray was acquired by the Frontenacs at the trade deadline and finished with an impressive 12-15 record. Hailing from Lancaster, PA, Murray began his OHL career with the Kitchener Rangers during the 2006-2007 season posting a 40-9 record including 5 shutouts. The impressive performance landed Murray a place in the OHL All-Star game. So far with the Royals, Murray has posted an impressive 2-0 record including a goals against average of 0.50. He has also posted a save percentage of .985, including one shutout.
Paige played in all 68 games with the Frontenacs this season after being picked up from the Oshawa Generals during the offseason. Kyle had a career year with Kingston registering 15 goals and 19 assists for a total of 34 points. Following the conclusion of the Frontenacs season, the Richmond Hill native was picked up by the Utah Grizzlies of the East Coast Hockey League. Through three games with the Grizzles Paige has tallied one goal.
