The Frontenacs kept their playoff hopes alive by defeating the Peterborough Petes Saturday evening. In a must win situation Kingston goaltender Mavric Parks answered the challenge. Petes forward Zach Harnden opened the scoring just 1:26 into the first period. Kingston answered back when Nathan Moon continued his hot play scoring his 29th goal of the season. Justin Wallingford and Bobby Mignardi assisted on the shorthanded tally. Kingston capitalized halfway through the second period when Josh Brittain potted his 23rd goal of the year. The Frontenacs never looked back after that and went onto a 5-2 victory. Frontenacs 17 year old goaltender Mavric Parks stood on his head making 51 saves and earning first star honors. Kingston returns to action tomorrow after when they play the Mississauga St. Michael's Majors at 2:00pm. Tickets can be purchased at the K-Rock Centre box office. The Booster Club will be honoring overagers Justin Wallingford and John Murray after the game in the gate 1 area. Frontenacs players will also be signing autographs at this time as well.
