Frontenacs visit First Avenue Public School

On Tuesday, November 20th the Kingston Frontenacs visited First Avenue Public School. Goaltender Jason Guy and Defenceman Ben Shutron spoke in front of the entire school promoting a positive message of character building. The ‘FRONTS’ program focuses on the positive effects of being a great citizen in society. The rewards that come in life often come as a result of our own hard work and dedication in sports, school, and within the workplace. The Frontenacs at school program allows the players to speak openly about their experiences, not just in hockey, but also in their daily lives.

This positive program focuses on the importance of friendship, respect, opportunities, niceness, and teamwork. It is an interactive assembly that typically lasts for about 30 minutes with the children and the players. At the end of the presentation the players present each school with a team autographed hockey stick that they can use for fundraising purposes.

If you are interested in having some Frontenacs players visit your school to promote the positive message of character building and citizenship than please email Jordan at: jordan@kingstonfrontenacs.com.
