Beskorowany played his first two seasons in the OHL with the Owen Sound Attack, before being traded to Kingston in the summer of 2009. Size is his biggest asset as he is a big goaltender, which makes it easier for him to cover the majority of the net and not get caught out of position. He has very good puck handling skills, as well as his ability to make athletic saves when he needs to. In the 2008 NHL Draft he was selected in the second round, by the Dallas Stars.
Chris Carrozzi #30, Mississauga St. Michael’s Majors

6’2”, 185 lbs
Chris Carrozzi is now playing in his fourth season with the St Michaels Majors. He is a big guy who can move fairly well, and use his agility to his advantage. As it stands he is the league-leading goalie, and has four shutouts so far this year. Carrozzi has a very promising future, and was selected by the Atlanta Thrashers in the sixth round of the 2008 draft.

This is the fourth season for Crawford in the Ontario Hockey League, in which he played the first three with Saginaw before being traded this year to the Barrie Colts. He is a great skater and a very good defensive player who usually just stays in a safe position. However, sometimes he does have the ability to help in the offensive zone. Crawford was picked in the sixth round of the 2008 draft, by the Buffalo Sabres.
Calvin de Haan #24, Oshawa Generals

Calvin de Haan is in his second year in the OHL, as well as with the Oshawa Generals. He is a very solid offensive defenseman who has is able to put up points as well as being safe in the defensive zone. De Haan’s greatest skill is considered to be his outstanding skating and his ability to make good decisions when handling the puck. In last year’s NHL draft, he was selected twelfth overall by the New York Islanders.
Cameron Gaunce #28, Mississauga St. Michael’s Majors

Gaunce is in his third season with the Mississauga St. Michael’s Majors, and has become a major asset to their defensive play. He is a very tough and strong player who can hold his own against most players in the league and has been improving his skating. Cameron Gaunce was selected in the second round of the 2008 NHL draft, by the Colorado Avalanche.
Shawn Lalonde #9, Belleville Bulls

Shawn Lalonde is in his fourth season playing with the Belleville Bulls. He is a versatile defenseman who can join the rush into the offensive zone. He has progressed well while in the OHL, and has shown that he has the instincts necessary to become a solid defenseman. Lalonde was drafted in the third round of the 2008 draft, by the Chicago Blackhawks.
Brian Lashoff #18, Kingston Frontenacs

Beginning his first three years in the OHL with the Barrie Colts, Lashoff was then traded to the Frontenacs. He is a defenseman with good size and the ability to create good puck movement. Lashoff has developed a great shot over the past few years and was signed by the Detroit Red Wings as a free agent in 2008.
Alex Pietrangelo #7, Barrie Colts

Alex Pietrangelo is a very promising defenseman having played his first three seasons with the IceDogs, and now with the Barrie Colts. He has a great mix of size and skill, and this is what makes him such a dangerous defenseman. He is also a very good player on the power play and can lead his team by creating plays and making things happen. Pietrangelo was drafted fourth overall by the St. Louis Blues in 2008.

Agozzino has been playing all three of his Ontario Hockey League seasons with the Niagara IceDogs, and has become a threat on their offence. He is now the captain of his team and has become a great leader. Agozzino has been known on his team to have great hockey sense and good vision to be able to make plays. He will be eligible for the draft coming up this year.
Casey Cizikas #11, Mississauga St. Michael’s Majors

5’10”, 190 lbs
Cizikas has been playing his entire three-year OHL career with the Mississauga St. Michael’s Majors. He is a solid all-around player, with great passing skills and the ability to see the whole ice. Cizikas often uses his speed and stick skills to find room for himself, and get into the offensive zone to look for plays. He was drafted in the fourth round by the New York Islanders, in last year’s NHL draft.
Stefan Della Rovere #19, Barrie Colts

5’10”, 200 lbs
Della Rovere is now in his fourth season, playing for the Barrie Colts, and had become a major part of the team. He has the ability to consistently score points, as well as help teammates out. Della Rovere was a member of the silver-medal winning team Canada junior team this year as well as being a gold-medal winner in 2008. He was picked in the 2008 NHL Draft by the Washington Capitals.
Alex Hutchings #10, Barrie Colts

5’10”, 173 lbs
Hutchings is now in his fourth season playing with the Barrie Colts of the OHL. Although he does not have the best size for a player his position, he has excellent speed that compensates for it. This season he has put up his best numbers, being over a point a game and continues to improve. Hutchings was drafted in round four of last year’s draft by the Tampa Bay Lightning.
Sean Jones #17, Brampton Battalion

Jones is now in his fifth season in the OHL, having played two years with Sault St. Marie, two with the Erie Otters, and now playing for the Brampton Battalion. Jones has become a clutch player for the Battalion, as he seems to score in times of need. His speed and puck handling give him an advantage over other players, and room to skate on the ice. He will be eligible for the 2010 draft coming up this offseason.
Matt Kennedy #11, Barrie Colts

Matt Kennedy has already played four seasons with the Guelph Storm and is now playing for the Barrie Colts. He is a big forward who isn’t afraid to through his body around to make plays, and has been improving on his offensive skill. In last year’s OHL season, Kennedy ranked one of the highest in penalty minutes and continues to rack them up. He was drafted in the 2009 NHL Entry Draft in the fifth round, by the Carolina Hurricanes.
Cody Lindsay #34, Ottawa 67’s

In his fourth year with the Ottawa 67’s, Lindsay has begun to make a big impact on games, and has become a more consistent player. He is a smaller forward that uses his speed and low center of gravity to get open and make plays. Lindsay is a great skater and is very creative in the offensive zone. This year, he will be able to enter the NHL Entry Draft, and is hoping to draw interest from NHL clubs with his play.

Eric O’Dell is in his third season, playing for the Sudbury Wolves. He has great hockey sense and instincts, and has a very good shot. Over the past year he has been working on his size to make himself a bigger threat, and his skating skills have also improved. O’Dell was drafted in the second round of the 2008 draft by the Anaheim Ducks, and was soon after traded to the Atlanta Thrashers.

Playing in his second year with the Mississauga St. Michael’s Majors, Smith-Pelly has become a major asset to produce offense for the team. He is a quick skater, and has a lot of grit to his game. The way he plays, you can tell he is a very hard-worker and is dedicated to doing his best to help the team. He will be eligible for the 2010 NHL Entry Draft and is expected to be a fairly decent pick, with lots of interest coming from different teams.
Ryan Spooner #23, Peterborough Petes

In his second season with the Peterborough Petes, Ryan Spooner has proved to be an offensive threat, and someone to keep an eye on. In his first season he was just under a point a game, and this season has improved to 54 points in his first 46 games. Spooner uses a combination of his excessive speed and excellent puck handling skills to make room for himself, and create scoring opportunities. This year he will be eligible for the NHL Entry Draft, taking place in Los Angeles.

Toffoli really burst onto the hockey scene this year, as a second year player with the Ottawa 67’s. He has great hockey sense and has the ability to find the right position to receive the puck. He is considered to be a very talented hockey player with a promising career ahead of him. Toffoli will be eligible to enter the NHL draft this year, and is expected to be a fairly high pick.
Ethan Werek #25, Kingston Frontenacs

Werek is in his second season with the Kingston Frontenacs and has become a major segment on the team’s offensive side of play. Last year he finished just under a point per game, as this season he is on pace to finish much higher with 45 points in his first 41 games. Werek is a player with great size, and proves to be an excellent two-way player. The New York Rangers selected him in the second round of last year’s NHL draft.
